4 Port Charlotte, FL people burned to death after their 2002 Audi A4 failed to stop at a stop sign and caught fire when collided with a Chevy Tahoe in Charlotte County, FL



 Austin Taylor Hirschy, 21, responsible for the death of his 3 friends and himself after he was speeding and failed to stop to a stop sign.  He was a known speedster.









Four people killed in a fiery crash in Englewood Sunday have been identified. The Florida Highway Patrol say the crash was caused by a driver running a stop sign.

Just before 4 a.m., a 2002 Audi driven by Austin Hirschy, 21, was heading eastbound on Rosemonte Dr. approaching Sunnybrook Blvd. when he failed to stop at a stop sign according to the report. Hirschy struck a 2010 Chevy Tahoe driven by Michael J. Holcombe, 43, of Whitesburg, Kentucky.

The Audi burst into flames following the crash and all four occupants; Hirschey; Keith Williams, 25; Dustin Strong, 23; and William Solomon, 20; all of Port Charlotte were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two occupants of the Audi were not wearing seatbelts. It's unknown of the other two occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Holcombe and the other four occupants of the Tahoe were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. The identities of four Port Charlotte men who died in a fiery early Sunday morning crash were formally released Monday.

Austin Taylor Hirschy, 21, Keith J. Williams, 25, Dustin Cory Strong, 23, and William “Billy” Barr Solomon, 20, were killed in a two-vehicle crash at Sunnybrook Boulevard and Rosemonte Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Keshaun Williams, Keith’s uncle, identified his nephew as one of the dead earlier Monday.

Family and friends held a memorial on top of the burnt grass where the car went up in flames.

The four men were in a 2002 Audi A4 driven by Hirschy when they ran a stop sign and collided with a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe, the FHP said.

A family of five was inside of the Chevrolet Tahoe at the time of the crash, the FHP said. One of the children was flown to All Children’s Hospital while the other family members were taken to Englewood Hospital with minor injuries.

Their current conditions are unclear.

Solomon was identified Sunday by his mother.
“I love you, miss you, wish it wasn’t you,” Billy’s younger brother Jesse Rey Solomon said. “I definitely don’t want it to be anybody else, but wish it wasn’t you.” The crash remains under investigation

 Fiery overnight crash claims four lives

Four people are dead after a fiery crash early Sunday morning in Charlotte County.

According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2002 Audi A4 was eastbound on Rosemonte Drive approaching the intersection of Sunnybrook Road in Englewood, and a 2010 Chevy Tahoe was northbound on Sunnybrook Boulevard.

The Audi A4 failed to stop at the stop sign, the release stated, and the vehicles collided in the intersection. After the collision, the Audi A4 became engulfed in flames, killing all four occupants, according to FHP. The identification of the four victims has not been released, pending next of kin notification.

The occupants of the Chevy Tahoe, a family of five from New York, were hospitalized with minor injuries, according to the release.



We would not be surprised if the Brits were drunk or on drugs.  Most drunk-related accidents happen in the early a.m. hours like this one.

CHARLOTTE CO., FL (WWSB) – A major accident on Sunday morning, left four people dead and five others injured.

Round 3:35 a.m., four people from the United Kingdom were driving in an Audi A4 on Rosemont Drive. They were approaching the intersection of Sunnybrook Boulevard.

Five people from Kentucky were driving in their Chevrolet Tahoe on Sunnybrook Boulevard, coming up to Rosemont Drive.

The driver in the Audi failed to stop at the stop sign, according to the report.

The two vehicles collided and after impact, the Audi became engulfed in flames.

All four people in the Audi were pronounced deceased at the scene. There names were not released.

The Chevrolet was driven by Michael Holcomb, 43, with passengers, Marsha, 41, Luke, 15, Tori, 13, and Kra Holcomb, 10. The family was transported to Englewood Hospital, except Luke was transported to All Children’s Hospital. They were all reported to have minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol will continue the investigation.

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (AP) – Four people are dead after a fiery crash in Florida.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the driver of a 2002 Audi A4 ran a stop sign in Charlotte County early Sunday and crashed into an SUV driven by a Kentucky man. The Audi burst into flames.

The driver and three passengers in the Audi were declared dead at the scene. The Whitesburg, Kentucky, couple and three children in the SUV sustained minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol didn’t immediately release the names of the deceased. The investigating officer wasn’t sure if alcohol was a factor in the crash that happened at about 3:35 a.m.
