NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A Hohenwald restaurant owner has been charged with arson and insurance fraud for trying to burn down Nick and Bubba's Beer and Clucks.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says restaurant owner Nick Spicer set the fire in an effort to commit insurance fraud. The actual incident took place on July 24th when police responded to the Dabbs Avenue restaurant. The Hohenwald Fire Department and the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance helped TBI agents develop information which led to Spicer as the man responsible for lighting the fire.

A Lewis County Grand Jury indicted the 25-year-old on Monday. Spicer was arrested and posted the $20,000 bond.
