ANOTHER NJ TRANSIT BUS COLLIDES IN NEWARK, NJ WITH CAR, 2 SERIOUSLY AND 11 SLIGHTLY INJURED

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- A car collided with a NJ Transit bus in Newark Monday morning, leaving 13 people injured.

The bus appeared to be heading eastbound on West Market Street when the car turned in front of it from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard just before 5 a.m.

Two people were seriously injured in the car and taken to the hospital.

29 people were on board the bus. 11 passengers on the bus were treated for minor injuries.

NJ Transit said the bus was the Route 34 line from Montclair to Newark's Penn Station.

Police are investigating what caused the crash.
