Two people are seriously hurt after a fire truck and mini-van collided in Wilmington, Delaware Saturday morning.

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Two people are seriously hurt after a fire truck and mini-van collided in Wilmington, Delaware Saturday morning.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of 8th and Adam streets.

Police say the two people suffered non-life threatening injuries and are expected to be okay.

Both were taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment.

No firefighters were injured.

The vehicles sustained heavy damage.

So far, no word on why the vehicles collided.  But it appears that the van failed to yield to the fire truck.
