BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Dollar Tree in South Bakersfield has been closed following the death of a worker last week.

The worker went home during a shift last week and refused to go to the hospital. The worker later died, according to CalOSHA.

The worker felt sick at work and the store offered to call 911, but the employee declined.

Two anonymous complaints have been made to CalOSHA about "intermittent A/C problems", CalOSHA said.

It has not been confirmed what led to the worker’s death. Investigators don’t believe the death was heat related.

The store was not closed by CalOSHA, but on their own accord.

CalOSHA is not currently investigating the business but they may later if they think there may be a connection.

TheDollar Tree is locatedat 2505 South H Street.
