PASSAIC, New Jersey (WABC) -- A Paterson police officer crashed while attempting to pull over a vehicle in neighboring Passaic.

The Paterson police car chased the other car around 4 a.m. Wednesday into Passaic. But it then hit another police cruiser -- and crashed into the front of a business at the corner of Main Avenue and Van Houten.

One officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The wanted car continued eastbound onto Route 3. Clifton police spotted it and the driver was pulled over on Routes 1/9 in Jersey City.

The driver was taken into custody.
Paterson police originally attempted to pull the driver over near Main Street and 20th Avenue.
