Worker badly burned at Fenway MBTA station

BOSTON, MASS. —A worker was shocked and received burns while working at the Fenway MBTA station, sources told NewsCenter 5.

NewsCenter 5 has learned the worker's injuries were significant.

Joe Pesaaturo, of the MBTA, said the worker was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Earlier Tuesday, Green Line D branch service was suspended between Kenmore and Reservoir stations due to an overhead wire problem, but it's unclear if the incidents are connected.

Shuttle buses replaced service between Kenmore and Reservoir stations.

Regular service has resumed.

No other information was immediately available.
