TEWKSBURY, NJ - A 28-year-old Allentown, Pa., man was injured Sunday when the Yamaha motorcycle he was operating struck a vehicle head-on, township police announced Monday.

The accident happened at 7:06 p.m. Elisaul Sanchez, 28, was traveling northbound on Old Turnpike Road (Route 517) when he reportedly crossed over the center line and struck an Audi driven by a 66-year-old township resident, it was stated in a news release.

Sanchez was thrown from the motorcycle, struck the windshield of the Audi and landed in the surrounding woods, according to police.

He was transported by New Jersey State Police NorthSTAR to St Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. No information on his condition or the extent of his injuries was available on Monday.

Sanchez was issued a motor-vehicle summons for careless driving, police said.
