Crash overturns cattle truck in Temple, 3 people injured, 18 cattle killed

Highway 190 was closed after an accident involving a trailer hauling cattle.

TEMPLE, TEXAS - Three people were injured after being involved in an accident involving a cattle truck and a vehicle Thursday morning at US Highway 190 and Martin Luther King Drive in Temple.

As a result of the accident, the truck carrying 62 livestock overturned – killing 14 cattle, according to Temple Fire.

The involved truck was not from Texas. The truck belonged to LLT Trucking out of Oklahoma City and was headed toward the northern tip of the Texas panhandle.

Local ranchers volunteered to help off-load surviving cattle.
