Houston drivers are reminded of drunk driving or texting or speeding's traggic consequences ahead of holiday weekend

HOUSTON -- In just the past couple of months, the Houston area has seen its share of tragic crashes linked to suspected drunk drivers. Now, authorities are sharing a reminder to our area ahead of the holiday weekend.

So as we prepare to celebrate the July 4th holiday weekend, law enforcement officers want to make sure everyone observes the holiday safely.

This weekend is a No-Refusal Weekend.

Texas Department of Public Safety's Sgt. Woodard said, "We're going to prosecute them to the fullest. And we are going to do it right. We are going to make sure that our residents and visitors here in the state of Texas are safe."

In addition, AAA is offering its Tipsy Tow Service, which has rules and restrictions.
