3 found dead in Fair Lawn, NJ, possibly shot, in house fire

Three people were discovered dead, possibly from gunshots, inside a Fair Lawn home.

The fire broke out inside the Fourth Street home just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

It was under control about an hour later.

Autopsies will be conducted on the victims, but it appears they sustained gunshot wounds.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office will investigate the deaths.

Records show the home belonging to Richard and Barbara Ann Tempe. Richard Tempe, 76, retired from the Fair Lawn Board of Education in July 1989, records show.

The two lived there with their adult son.
