WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - A medical helicopter and hazardous materials team were called to the scene of a crash Monday afternoon on U.S. 62.

The crash was reported around 3:25 p.m. on the 6100 block of U.S. 62, northeast of Utica and Branstool Orchard.

Officials said it involved a tanker carrying gasoline, which was leaking from the truck.

One person was reported to have been ejected in the crash, and a medical helicopter was called to transport that patient.

U.S. 62 was closed for roughly five hours at Ohio 13 in Utica. All crews had the left the scene by 9 p.m., but it was unclear at that time whether the road had reopened.
