YIELD TO THE FIRE TRUCKS, PLEASE: 1 injured in Ocean Isle, NC after a fire truck collided with another vehicle that failed to yield

OCEAN ISLE, N.C. (WECT) — A fire truck and two other vehicles were involved in a crash in Ocean Isle Beach Saturday afternoon, according to the Ocean Isle Fire Department.

According to dispatchers in Brunswick County, the call about the wreck came in at 4:10 p.m.

Trooper Shaw with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said the fire truck was heading southbound on Causeway Drive with its lights and siren on when a vehicle failed to yield causing the fire truck to strike the vehicle, which struck a third vehicle.

One person in the third vehicle suffered minor injuries.
