Three people escaped with minor injuries when a big rig landed on top of a car after crashing with a freight train in the City of Industry on Tuesday, officials said.

Union Pacific police said the 18-wheeler had failed to clear the tracks at Fairway and Walnut drives as the train approached just before 3:20 p.m.

The impact sent the truck crashing into two nearby cars. Aerial footage captured by NewsChopper4 showed one of the cars partially underneath the big rig.

Three people suffered minor injuries in the wreck, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
