The Ministry of Labour is investigating after a worker was seriously injured in a crash on the tarmac at Pearson Airport.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Police said an 18-year-old worker was driving a baggage dolly on the Terminal 3 tarmac when the vehicle crashed into a refuelling truck.

The worker was rushed to Sunnybrook with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police said no criminality is suspected. Perhaps negligence in driving.
