Police identified the victim as Casie Mclean, 32, of Rockwell Avenue, Rosebank.

The fatal crash happened on Amboy Road near Cranford Street at around 1:20 a.m., police said.

Mclean was driving a 2011 Honda Accord southbound on Amboy Road when she crossed over the street's double yellow line into the northbound lane, striking a parked, unoccupied 2005 Ford Explorer, police said.

Authorities believe Mclean was speeding at the time of the crash, according to a preliminary police investigation.

Officers arrived to the scene and found the victim pinned in her car, and unconscious and unresponsive with severe body trauma, police said.

EMS transported Mclean to Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze, where she was pronounced dead.

An NYPD spokesman could not immediately provide any additional information on the crash.
