VANDALS IN BERGEN COUNTY: More than two dozen tires slashed on parked cars in New Milford, NJ

Tim Fleischer has the story
More than two dozen tires were slashed overnight in one Bergen County, N.J., neighborhood overnight.

It happened in the north end of New Milford within a few blocks - on Madison Avenue, Charles Street, McKinley Avenue and River Road.

Police told Eyewitness News that 25 tires were slashed on cars and trucks in the area. They're not sure of the total number of cars that were vandalized.

The calls started coming into police overnight, but officers are still trying to pin down the timeframe for when this crime spree happened.

Due to the small three-or-four block radius where the slashing occurred, police think the person who did the damage might have been on foot.

Anyone with information about the tire slashing is asked to contact the New Milford Police Department.
