Two firefighters injured battling 2-alarm west Houston apartment fire


Two firefighters were transported to the hospital while battling the two-alarm fire in northwest Houston Sunday.
Two firefighters have been injured while battling a two-alarm apartment fire in west Houston.

It happened at a complex in the 12900 block of Trail Hollow Drive. Crews arrived at around 3:15pm to find several units with heavy smoke and fire damage. Four units were destroyed. A second alarm was called about 15 minutes later.

One firefighter was transported to the hospital with a knee injury. A second was taken for heat exhaustion.

The fire was declared under control at around 4:26pm. The Red Cross is providing assistance.
