THE ROLLOVER RISK OF TANKER TRUCKS, GO SLOW ON THE RAMPS: Driver killed after tanker truck overturns while merging onto I-24 at Harding Place in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - 


Northbound traffic on Harding Place near Interstate 24 has reopened after a fatal rollover crash.


Southbound lanes remain closed. The roadway is not expected to be cleared until 7:20 p.m.


According to the Nashville Fire Department, one male driver was killed when a tractor trailer rolled over. The person was trapped inside the vehicle.


Both northbound and southbound lanes were closed immediately following the crash.


The crash was first reported around 3:15 p.m. Traffic is being diverted to alternate routes.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – 




The driver of a truck died Wednesday afternoon when the vehicle overturned while merging onto Interstate 24 from Harding Place.




The truck, which was carrying motor oil, overturned just after 3 p.m., leading officials to shut down Harding Place in both directions.




Interstate 24 remains open at this time.




Harding Place isn’t expected to be cleared until after 7 p.m.
