Huge sinkhole swallows intersection in Sunset Park
A large sinkhole swallowed an intersection in Sunset Park section of Brooklyn.

The sinkhole developed around 7 a.m. at Fifth Avenue and 64th Street.

No injuries were immediately reported. It is not clear what caused the sinkhole. Probable causes include soil washing away from storms or leaking pipes.

National Grid is on site because gas lines are affected.
