Fire in Mayfair in Philadelphia, PA called suspicious; 2 injured


Two people were injured in a fire on Saturday night that officials are calling suspicious.

The fire was reported around 8:15 p.m. in the 4300 block of Loring Street in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia.

Firefighters say they arrived to find flames shooting from a two story home.

The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes.

A man and a woman were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
