FATHER DEAD, SON INJURED AFTER HIS ATV COLLIDES WITH TREE IN MISSOULA, MONTANA

MISSOULA, Mont. - 


Flathead County Sheriff's Office Chuck Curry says that deputies responded to an ATV crash on August 8, just after 5:00 p.m.


Scott Lawrence Anderson of Polebridge was riding with his eight year old son about five miles west of North Fork Road. The ATV left the roadway and struck a tree, killing Anderson. His son was transported to North Valley hospital with non-life threatening injuries.



The following is the press release from the Flathead County Sheriff's Office.


On Saturday, August 8 at 5:12 pm the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an ATV crash on Red Meadow Road about 5 miles west of the North Fork Road, north of Polebridge. 

The crash involved a 47 year old man and his 8 year old son. The four wheeler style ATV left the roadway and struck a tree. The deceased is identified as Scott Lawrence Anderson of Polebridge. 

His 8 year old son was transported to North Valley hospital with non life threatening injuries. Anderson was pronounced dead on the scene. 


The crash remains under investigation.
