NJ Transit Morris & Essex rail service is suspended due to an crash on a I-80 where part of a wrecked dump truck separated and is hanging over the tracks.
The accident was reported to State Police at the Netcong barracks at 10:08 a.m. , on I-80 east in the Lake Hopatcong section of Roxbury. The dump portion of the body separated from the rest of the truck, State Police said.

The cause of the crash isn't known because the accident is still under investigation, State Police said. A News 12 report said the dump truck apparently collided with an SUV.

Photos taken by NJ Transit show the dump truck body, laying on its side, perched on two beams over the rail line. Debris also has fallen on the tracks.

The accident and clean-up is blocking the left and center eastbound lanes, causing 15-minute delays, according to state Department of transportation traffic reports. Rubbernecking delays are backing traffic up to Route 15  on the westbound lanes of the highway.

Morris & Essex rail service was suspended from Mt. Arlington to Hackettstown in both directions and substitute bus service is being set up between Hackettstown and Dover.
