Construction worker dies after 15 foot fall at Longmont's Village at the Peaks in Boulder, Colorado

Longmont and Boulder County officials are investigating a construction death at Village at the Peaks that happened at 6 this morning.

Longmont police Cmdr. Jeff Satur said an approximately 40-year-old man working for an Erie-based roofing company fell through a hole in the roof of a business under construction shortly after arriving at work.

Satur said the man, whose name has not been released, fell about 15 feet onto concrete and died at the scene.

He said police, along with Longmont Fire and the Boulder County Coroner's Office are still on scene investigating and that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified.
