ATV driver dies after being pinned under combine harvester in Minnesota

BADGER, Minn. -- 


A rural Badger man has been killed in an ATV accident. 

The Roseau County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release. Deputies found George Patrick Walsh, 77, pinned under a combine while on an ATV.



Walsh had been repairing an ATV in his machine shed while seated on the ATV, according to the release. The ATV apparently had started up and went in reverse, striking the combine that was located in the shed.

He was transported to the Lifecare Medical Center in Roseau, Minn., where he was pronounced dead.

The Badger Fire Department and Roseau Ambulance also responded to the scene, the location of which was not disclosed in the release. The accident is under investigation.
