Woman killed by SUV/car after trying to rescue man around midnight in southwest Harris County, Texas


Good Samaritan killed trying to rescue man in southwest Harris County
Authorities say a woman was killed early this morning trying to pull a man out of a roadway in southwest Harris County.

It happened around 12:35am in the 14000 block of Almeda. An SUV and a car trying to avoid hitting the man standing in the dark street both swerved and hit the woman as she tried to pull the man to safety.

The woman died at the scene.

The man survived and is now hospitalized.

The crash remains under investigation. The Harris County Sheriff's Office says intoxication is not suspected among the drivers in this accident.
