Woman critically injured in boating crash on Lake Mead, Nevada


A woman was critically hurt Wednesday when two boats collided on Lake Mead, according to the National Parks Service.

The emergency call came in at 11:05 a.m. from Sandy Beach, near Callville Bay, Lake Mead National Recreation Area spokeswoman Christie Vanover said. The woman who was hurt was flown to Las Vegas Valley hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Someone else was hurt in the crash, Vanover said, but the extent of that person‘s injuries was not immediately made available.
