Sixty Firefighters working to put out 3-alarm blaze at recycling plant in Kent, WA. Good Luck With That.

KENT, WA

Crews are working to put out a large fire at a recycling plant in Kent.

On Wednesday, fire officials said about half an acre of paper products was on fire at the recycling plant in the 1200 block of 6th Avenue North. Officials hoped to contain the fire, before sparks landed on other piles and spread off the land and onto other properties.

No injuries were reported.

Fire crews upgraded the fire to 3-alarms because of the heat. Sixty firefighters worked to get a good handle on the fire at 2:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
