CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP, Pa.–

A state police fire marshal has ruled that the cause of the fire at Miller Chemical last month in Adams County is “undetermined.”

Pennsylvania State Police said the fire started in the packaging room at the facility located along the 100 block of Radio Road in Conewago Township on June8. The fire is believed to have started in an area where electrical service enters that part of the plant.

Damage to the facility is estimated at $20,000. The extensive damage made it difficult to determine an exact cause, investigators said.

The company manufactures water soluble fertilizers used for commercial agricultural crops.
