PORT ORANGE, Fla. —

A man who was working on the roof of a home Friday was electrocuted by lightning, Port Orange police said Wednesday.

Steven Gang, 25, was working on a roof on Arash Circle in the Water's Edge neighborhood as storms started to move through the area.

Police initially said he died of a “storm-related” incident and an autopsy report released this week determined he was killed by lightning.

No one else was injured.

Gang is the second person struck by lightning in Volusia County this year.

An 11-year-old Georgia boy was injured in a lightning strike in Daytona Beach Shores last month.

His family said he is on the mend.
