After leaving the port of Hamburg on July 31, 2015, at 6 a.m. bound to Rotterdam, the "YM Wish" ran aground at the north tip of the Rhinplate on the Elbe off Glückstadt at 9 a.m. after having encountered an engine failure.

The ship has a draught of 11,90 meters.

The pilot and captain immediately ordered to drop anchors.

The tugs "Bugsier 9", "Wolf", "Parat" and "Wal" as well as the multi purpose ship "Neuwerk" and the police launch "Amerikahöft" were called to assist.

The ship was now being towed to the Elbe Port in Brunsbüttel for inspections.
