Another teenager loses his life by speeding on an ATV vehicle and crashing onto two trees in Missouri

 

 

19-year-old killed in ATV crash in Ste. Genevieve Co.

STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - 

A 19-year-old Ste. Genevieve man died in an ATV crash Tuesday in Ste. Genevieve County.

Cole J. Heberlie, 19, of Ste. Genevieve was driving a 2014 Yamaha Grizzly 550 on White Sands Road when he crashed 1.7 miles north of Sugar Bottom Road.

It happened at 6:30 p.m. on July 14, 2015.

Heberlie failed to negotiate a curve in the road, traveled off the right side of the road and crashed onto two trees, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  Most likely, speed in the cause of the crash.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by the EMS personnel at 6:56 pm.

He was not wearing a safety device.  The ATV was totaled.


He was taken by the coroner to Basler funeral home.
