Another Driver Tries to Beat the Train and Loses: Illinois Central Locomotive train car strikes his car in Pennsylvania

A West Sunbury, PA man was not hurt after his car was hit by a train Monday.

Butler State Police say 20-year-old Jarrod Hull was traveling on Wick Road in Slippery Rock Township around 3 p.m. when he failed to stop at the stop sign prior to the railroad tracks.

Hull then drove onto the tracks, stopped, and was unable to exit the tracks before the train came. His car was struck by an Illinois Central Locomotive train car. The car was pushed by about 40 feet.

Authorities say Hull refused treatment at the scene. The train’s engineer and conductor were not hurt.
