Accident with Canadair CL-215 Firefighting Plane in Laconia Fire in Greece - Safe the two pilots

LACONIA, GREECE
The firefighting aircraft CL-215 made emergency landing-Lightly injured the pilot – the two pilots will be transferred in the Athens with C-130
Luckily avoided the worst by the accident of a firefighting aircraft CL-215 Canadair-type in the fire of Laconia, which was forced into an emergency landing during extinguishing. The two pilots of Canadair is in good health, contacted the services of the air force and eventually found and rescued by men of the fire.

When the Commander of the aircraft information has suffered minor injuries.
The firefighting aircraft made an emergency landing in fiery front due to a technical problem, which has not yet been known. All occurred when the gas company in the village of Faraklo.

From the Hellenic air force confirmed that the aircraft that made an emergency landing is a CL-215 and noted that the two pilots of Canadair is unharmed.
As a precaution the two pilots will be transferred to 251 Airforce General Hospital to undergo tests. Pilots of Canadair will be transferred in the Athens with C-130 landing this time at the airport of Kalamata.
