3 killed, 2 injured in Muskegon Co., Michigan ferocious collision between an SUV and a pickup truck




3 killed, 2 hurt in crash in Muskegon Co.

EGELSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- 

Three people are dead and two more hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Muskegon County.

The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Maple Island Rd. and Evanston Ave.

Michigan State Police say an SUV pulled into the path of a southbound Chevy pick-up truck on Maple Island.

Two female passengers in the SUV died at the scene. The male driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The three have been identified as Allen and Jolene Ames of Casnovia and Beatrice Amen of Ravenna.

The driver and passenger in the pick-up truck were taken to Hackley Hospital with unknown injures. Their names are not being released at this time.

Troopers believe all five people involved in the crash are from Muskegon County.

The impact of crash sent both vehicles off the road, damaging a sports car parked in a resident's yard.
