1 worker injured after a bucket truck was struck by a concrete mixer as it traveled in the northbound lane of Route 19 in Pennsylvania

 

1 person taken to hospital after accident involving bucket truck


JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — 

Authorities were called to an accident involving a bucket truck Wednesday evening in Jackson Township.

Emergency dispatchers confirmed that one person inside the bucket was hurt and taken to Allegheny General Hospital. The other worker was not injured. 

A Jackson Township police officer said the bucket truck was struck by a concrete mixer as it traveled in the northbound lane of Route 19.

There were two people in the bucket who were working on an overhead sign when the accident occurred.

The extent of the worker’s injuries isn’t currently known and police are investigating the incident further.

No charges have been filed at this time.
