BELMONT, N.H. (AP) -

New Hampshire conservation officers say a 28-year-old Rhode Island man was critically injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Belmont, New Hampshire.

Officials say Colton Bozigian of Providence, Rhode Island, was riding on a Polaris Ranger side-by-side ATV Saturday at about 5:15 p.m. when he lost control of the machine on a grassy field and it rolled over.

They say the vehicle is equipped with a roll bar, but it appears Bozigian was partially ejected and the roll bar pinned him to the ground.

Authorities say he was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital, then airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Officials say two passengers were not injured. They say Bozigian's inexperience operating the machine and failure to use the seatbelt contributed to his injuries.
