2 young women killed, 2 injured in early morning head-on crash in Mandan, North Dakota

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - 

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says two people were killed and two were injured in an early morning head-on crash along the Bismarck Expressway in Mandan.

Troopers say a pickup was traveling the wrong way in the west-bound lane of the highway and struck a car head-on at about 1:25 Saturday morning.

Two female passengers in the car were killed. One was a 22-year-old woman from Lincoln and the other was a 21-year-old woman from Mandan. Troopers have not released their names.

The 21-year-old female driver of the car was injured. Troopers say she was from Dickinson.

The pickup driver was a 28-year-old Mandan man.

The injured drivers were taken to a Bismarck hospital. Their names and the extent of their injuries were not released.
