Metra Electric derailment causes delays for morning rush in Chicago, Illinois

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

Inbound Metra Electric train No. 150 derailed near the 11th Street station around 1 a.m, after two cars went off the tracks.

There were five people on board the train but nobody was injured.
Metra commuters experienced delays this morning for both inbound and outbound Metra Electric trains.

The South Shore Line was also affected.
