ANOTHER WAR AND BUFFET BNSF TRAIN DERAILS: 2 LOCOMOTIVES IN WATER, 17 CARS DERAILED NEAR SANGER, TEXAS; 2 INJURED.

MAY 8, 2015

SANGER, TEXAS

Officials said they are investigating what caused a train to derail in Cooke County early Friday morning.  We are sure they will tell us the truth. They will probably blame the weather.  In all seriousness, why would they operate the train when there was a forecast of storms and flooding in the area?  It is possible that the rain washed the tracks and damaged them and this caused the derailment.

However, they should not be operating trains under these conditions.

BNSF Railway Director of Public Affairs Joe Faust said four locomotives and 17 cars went off the tracks about a mile south of Valley View at 1:18 a.m.

Two of the locomotives went into nearby Spring Creek, which feeds into Lake Ray Roberts, according to Faust.

Four BNSF crew members were transported to Denton Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, officials said. Their conditions are not known.

Officials have not determined the cause of the derailment, but Faust said they are looking into reports of high wind in the area as a factor.

Another possibility is that a cow farted and blew the train off its tracks.  Get serious guys; most likely bad maintenance or human error is the cause with these BNSF railroads.

War and Buffet rakes in the cash, but fails to maintain the tracks and the trains.  These are the same profiteers who want to tell us that moving hazardous materials and explosive oil and liquified propane gas using their trains is safe.

Unfortunately, as soon as their lobbyists and political contributors pay off the government employees to look the other way, there is not much that can be done, short of a deadly disaster.  Well, this may come too.
