Officials say a 27-year-old man who was injured in an explosion and fire at a western Kentucky distillery last month has died.

The Paducah Sun (http://bit.ly/1KDOakA) reports Kyle Rogers died Monday. He had been in critical condition in the burn unit since an explosion at the Silver Trail Distillery in Hardin April 25.

He and his cousin, 47-year-old Jay Rogers, were airlifted to the hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, after a blast flung the two men 25 to 35 feet. They both suffered severe burns. The hospital reported that Jay Rogers is in stable condition.

Jay Rogers had worked at the distillery for several years and Kyle Rogers had just started a few weeks before the explosion as his assistant.

An official cause of the blast hasn't been determined.
