Eastbound lanes of Interstate 8 have re-opened west of Dateland after a fiery crash involving a train and a tanker truck.

The collision occurred Monday near milepost 61, about 5 miles west of Dateland, the Arizona Department of Transportation said. The accident scene is about halfway between Gila Bend and Yuma.

The tanker truck caught fire and a hazardous materials team was mobilized, an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman said.
