U.S. RIG COUNT PLUNGES; IT IS NOW DOWN 28.4 PERCENT ON A YEAR OVER YEAR BASIS. CANADIAN RIG COUNT IS DOWN 47.3 PERCENT ON A YEAR OVER YEAR BASIS

Baker Hughes Incorporated has posted Weekly Rig Count reports to its Investor Relations website according to which offshore rigs are down this week. 

BHI Rig Count: U.S. -43 to 1267 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 43 rigs from last week to 1267, with oil rigs down 33 to 986, gas rigs down 9 to 280, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 502 rigs from last year at 1769, with oil rigs down 444, gas rigs down 55, and miscellaneous rigs down 3.

The U.S. Offshore rig count is 51, down 3 rigs from last week, and down 4 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada -30 to 330 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 30 rigs from last week to 330, with oil rigs down 13 to 171, and gas rigs down 17 to 159.

Canadian Rig Count is down 296 rigs from last year at 626, with oil rigs down 252, and gas rigs down 44.

The busy oil bees hopefully have accumulated enough honey oil to go through these tight times.
