WRONG-WAY DRIVER WHO CAUSED CRASH ON I-94 IN MICHIGAN WAS DRUNK. 2 PEOPLE INJURED.

CALHOUN COUNTY, MICHIGAN

An accused drunk driver is in custody after police say he drove the wrong way on I-94, causing an accident.

Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies were notified of a vehicle driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes near 26 Mile Road.  Just before they could catch up with the driver, there was a crash.

A man and woman in the car that was struck both suffered injuries, but are listed in stable condition.  The wrong-way driver was arrested at the scene and is expected to be arraigned on charges of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.
