WOMAN KILLED IN GEORGES TOWNSHIP, PA CRASH INVOLVING A JEEP AND DODGE TRUCK; 3 INJURED

GEORGES TOWNSHIP, FAYETTE COUNTY, PA




An unidentified woman was killed and three others injured after two vehicles (a Jeep and a Dodge pickup truck) collided on Dry Knob Road in Georges Township Saturday. 




Fairchance Volunteer Fire Department assistant chief Kerry Whoolery said the woman died at the scene.




Whoolery said the crash occurred around 1 p.m. when a Jeep and Dodge truck collided.




Whoolery added that the woman was a passenger in the Jeep driven by an unidentified male who was transported to an area hospital.




Two passengers in the truck were taken to Ruby Memorial Hosptial in West Virginia, Whoolery said. The condition of the driver was unknown.







The road was closed for several hours while state police conducted an investigation. Fairchance firefighters were assisted at the scene by Fayette EMS, Fairchance EMS and American Ambulance.
