LINCOLN, Neb. —A 30-year-old truck driver from Illinois has reportedly died after an accident Sunday on Interstate 80.

Authorities are asking drivers to avoid Interstate 80 westbound lanes near Waverly in Lancaster County.

I-80 is closed between exit 405 (Highway 77) and exit 409 (Waverly). That's 2 miles east of Lincoln.

According to reports, a semi was stalled on the interstate when another semi crashed into its cab.

The driver was reportedly transported in critical condition to a local hospital, where he later died.

The wreck is blocking westbound lanes, so drivers should avoid that route.
