 FIRE OFFICIALS RESPOND TO GAS LEAK EXPLOSION IN LAUGHLIN, NEVADA

LAUGHLIN–Fire crews with the Clark County Fire Department are on scene of an explosion resulting from a reported gas line leak in the Desert Hills area off Needles Highway, in Laughlin, Nevada.  

Jeff Buchanan, public information officer for CCFD, confirmed the multiple reports of an explosion adding the explosion was likely the result of the gas leak. He did not have information yet on if there were injuries or if any of the residents in Laughlin were affected by the rupture.  

A large plume of smoke and dust could be scene for miles across the river communities. No additional information was able at the time. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
