Baton Rouge, LA

Police have identified the victim of a fatal accident that caused an hours-long traffic jam Friday on the I-10 Mississippi River Bridge in Baton Rouge.

Authorities say Bentley (47) lost control of his Honda motorcycle Friday afternoon just after crossing into Baton Rouge heading eastbound. The motorcycle struck the rear of an 18-wheeler, Bentley was thrown into the adjoining lane and struck by the trailer of another 18-wheeler carrying vehicles.

Police say they suspect Bentley was under the influence of alcohol. The truck drivers do not currently face charges.

Eastbound I-10 was closed for almost six hours and one lane of westbound I-10 was also closed.
