CAR DRIVER DIES WHEN HE REAR-ENDS AT VERY HIGH SPEED A STOPPED TRUCK IN SULLIVAN COUNTY, INDIANA

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) 

A Shelburn man is dead after a late night car accident in Sullivan County.
Indiana State Police and Sullivan County emergency agencies responded to the accident scene on southbound Highway 41, just south of County Road 850 North at 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police tell WISH-TV sister station WTHI News that a semi truck, carrying explosive material, was stopped at a railroad crossing when a 2006 Ford Fusion struck the back of the truck at full speed.

The driver of the car, identified of Dirk A. Bose, 35, of Shelburn had to be cut out of the vehicle, according to police.

Reports state that the car’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the semi truck driver, identified as Patricia Olshefskie-Prenzlin, 45, of Tifton, Ohio, was uninjured.

Police are still investigating the scene.
