US-131 IN KENT CO., MICHIGAN RE-OPENS AFTER MULTIPLE CRASHES


WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Several highways in Kent County have re-opened after several crashes on Friday.

Around 11:20 a.m., MDOT said the southbound lanes of US-131 in Wyoming had shut down at 36th Street as well, but it reopened just after noon.

Southbound US-131 at 44th Street in Wyoming was shut down for over an hour, but has since reopened. The northbound lanes of US-131 have also reopened at Hall Street in Grand Rapids.

Just before noon, the westbound lanes of M-6 also reopened after a lengthy closure.
The number of vehicles involved in the crashes is unknown. It’s also unclear if anyone was injured.
